Largo Canyon Station
John's dream is to build his welding work shop and have an artist's paradise. He wants to make Largo Canyon a destination resort for artists and writers. He wants it to be a word of mouth thing like the Lightning Rods at Quemado.
My dream is to grow fantastic gardens, write, ride mules through the canyons. I have several partially realistic fantasies. One is herding goats across the landscape and making feta cheese (but I would have to have a grazing permit from the BLM). Another fantasy is that I will serve lunch everyday in the gymnasium or on the patio and all the oilfield workers will come in for my soup and pies. My favorite fantasy is that I will have some kind of facility for bereaved children or children in need of foster care that WANT to live in a safe and secure place way out in the country. Maybe it will just be a summer camp. I don't know yet. My main concern is to reflect the love the universe showers on me, back into the world, perhaps lighting up some of the darker corners.
If I don't win a T-1 connection to my house, then I will have to connect to the internet by satellite. It is long-distance to everywhere. I want to keep my websites growing, especially those concerning the environment.
Well, I hope you like our fantasies. Maybe you will want to come visit? Maybe you want to come write or work on your own artwork (with 10,000 sq feet of workspace, we have a bit to share!). Who knows what the future will bring?
Write to me! JRW@largocanyon.org
Yours,
