Some interesting things happened on 21 December, 1953: A sperm whale was caught off the coast of New Zealand with a 926 lb. lump of ambergris. Robert J. Oppenheimer was informed that he was a security risk to the United States of America. Florence Baker, a beloved librarian died. A couple of babies were born who would grow up to be famous, and some not so famous.
