The last two models are not cladogenic in that they are not simple branching models. If you are unaware of the literature of evolutionary theory, you might not realize the dependence of modern evolutionary paradigm on simple models of cladogenesis. Scientists developed the computer algorithms to generate cladogeneic models and have spent the last ten years squeezing everything into these models. There is much resistence to the idea that anything else (of significance) ever happens by any other way.
